Averett University is preparing students for the 2026 summer and fall semesters by having their Advising Day on March 19th, which is where no classes are held so students have the opportunity to meet with their advisors so they can plan their schedules, see how many credits they need, check if they have a hold on their account, prepare for graduation, and be authorized to register for classes when the registration window opens. Seats for classes fill up very quickly when that registration window opens so it is a very important day for students to make sure they have everything straightened out before it is time to register for classes just in case they cannot or they do not know what classes they really need.
Averett also holds a week-long event called “Registration Rodeo” for students to meet with enrollment, student success, and financial aid staff to prepare for the upcoming semesters. The events were held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the MPR, the first one was held on March 23rd for the upcoming Seniors, the second one was held on March 25th for the upcoming Juniors, and the final event was held on March 27th for the upcoming Sophomores.
Starting in the last week of March, students are now able to officially register for their classes based on how many credits they have. Senior students with 90+ credits can register on March 23rd and 24th, Junior students with 60-89 credits can register March 25th and 26th, Sophomore students with 30-59 credits can register March 27th and 28th, and Freshman students with 29 or fewer credits can register March 29th and 30th. Each credit group is based on the credits that the student has earned before the current semester. If a student has missed their registration window, they still have the opportunity to register starting on March 31st.
