While the illusionist was performing his tricks there is also another reason for this event. Along with his magic comes the tips and advice of business that Alan has to offer from his decades of business experience. When he is not pulling flags out of hats, he spends his time working at the Historic North Theater which he helped to re-open in 2012.

Alan was able to brighten up the audience with his talented tricks, paying Homage to those before him by displaying a trick of rings. Alan is a world-class illusionist/ magician and a public speaker and author among other things. Alan’s talents have brought him to perform at the White House 13 times, and faces of surprise from all over the globe.

Showcasing his expertise, Alan was able to brighten up the audience with his talented tricks, paying Homage to those before him by displaying a trick of rings.

“I truly did enjoy it,” Todd Hicks, a senior majoring in communication, said. “For it to be my first ever magic show it was definitely a mind blowing experience.”

Before the performance, Alan was making new friends around the Cougar Den, displaying coin and card tricks that were similar to the ones that were in his show. From creating silver dollars out of thin air, to changing cards right before the audience’s eyes.

“There is just no way that I am seeing this with my own eyes,” Sa’Quan Harrison, a senior majoring in sports medicine, said. “I thought I was going to catch him slipping up, but I didn’t”.
