Horn officially stepped into her role on January 6, 2025, with a strong background in residence life, admissions, and student affairs.
She is committed to enhancing the student living experience while fostering a welcoming and inclusive campus environment. Horn oversees all aspects of campus housing, including room assignments, student support services, and residence life policies. She also plays a key role in maintaining a safe and respectful campus community.
Horn brings years of experience to Averett, having previously served as an Area Coordinator at the University of Mary Washington and as Assistant Director of Residence Life at Hollins University.
Her expertise in student housing operations and campus engagement makes her a valuable addition to the Averett community.
Horn is actively working with the Residence Life team to prepare for the upcoming check-in period, ensuring that both new and returning students have a seamless transition into campus housing. She is assisting students in selecting the best housing options based on availability and personal preferences.
“As move-in day approaches, my team and I are providing detailed instructions to ensure a smooth transition for all residents,” Horn said.
